ya wanted to know how to catch flies didn't cha? oh hell. what was the original post about anyhow> ok....let me clarify (since I wasn't being literal ) Idiom Definitions for 'You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar' This means that it is easier to persuade people if you use polite arguments and flattery than if you are confrontational.

okay ms. indiana: flies smell things with sensilla. they have no nose or respiratory system, and the sensilla r located on their antennae of both sexes, and there are about 5 different types. so with this apparatus, the fly can locate a specific smell pretty accurately. and furthermore, some taste with their feet as well as their mouths. thats why they like shitz. did i learn this in home ec. hell no. i learned it on google where you should go if you want to learn more about flies, and how they smell.

ANYWAY..... I think sometimes keeping a calmer head when the other person wants a fight can help diffuse a brawl....so in some cases it might work

Did ya ever notice, nobody ever brings honey to a picnic? The flies always seem to be drawn to the hamburgers and potato salad. Maybe the honey would distract them enough to keep them away from the food.
