The perfect cup of coffee depends on the process you use to make it, the kind of coffee you use, the water you make it with and the temperature of the water.
Drip type coffee makers are the most convenient but probably make the worst coffee. A French press coffee maker is probably the best followed by an old fashioned percolator. You can get a good French press at you local coffee house for about $15.00. Then use some good coarse ground coffee. If your water sucks filter it. It should be almost but not quite boiling temp. Start out with about one heaping teaspoon per cup and work your way up or down from there. If you use a percolator you'll have to time it to get the strength you want. |

If I am in the mood, I will grind my own beans and use the French Press.
I have two of them, a single cup, and a 4 cup. Very smooth. |
