I push the wrong button and now I've something called Security Tool on my computer and I can't get rid of it,unless I pay them $49.99.My son said that they fooled me. Is there a way to get rid of this? Can't afford to put in shop right now. I'll be thankfully for any help..

First, try this uninstall tool. trust me, it's better than Windows Add and Remove:

http://www.revouninstaller.com/

Highlight the program you want to uninstall, in your case; Security Tool. From the Revo tool bar, click; Uninstall. This will now backup your registry, create a System Restore point and then start the program's own uninstaller.

Once the program's own uninstaller has finished it's task, Revo should now search for leftover junk in the system files and registry. If it finds anything, and it usually does, it will list these items in a tree like structure, same deal as Windows.

Check the boxes next to the Bolded items.. ONLY the BOLDED items! Checking the top of each tree branch will check all the boxes below it until it reaches a new branch. Follow this list to the bottom and then click Delete.

Any leftover files and folders should now be scnned for, anything found can be deleted.

If this fails and you have an infection, please try this, which I posted in another topic.. it's a copy/paste:

---------------------

Download, Install, Update then Run:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/ (Save any logs, you may need them later).

and

http://www.superantispyware.com/ (Again, save logs, if any).

Both free versions will catch most malware infections.

Update your antivirus of choice and run it. For me, it's AVG free.

Make sure you have a proper firewall installed. If you're using Windows, don't rely on Windows Firewall, it leaks. Important if you have a malware infection. Use whatever you prefer, I use ZoneAlarm free.

Depending on the infection, you may have trouble installing or updating some security tools. Some will block updates or switching on a firewall. One I had refused to let me install Microsoft Security Essentials.

If you still have problems, visit this site and follow their instructions: http://forums.maddoktor2.com/index.php?showtopic=9590 (They will probably request logs if you post and ask for advice, so make sure you've saved them from the scans you run).

If you are offered advice and guidance, stick with it and Don't cross post the same problem to different boards/forums.. all this does is confuse the issues and wastes peoples time.

Good luck!

I remove these type of viruses/spyware many times a day. I know what I'm doing.

Download COMBOFIX and save it to your desktop. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

You will need to boot to "safe mode with networking". Restart your computer and keep pressing F8 till a boot menu shows up. That's where you select it.

Run the ComboFix program. It will reboot your computer & finish doing it's thing. By then, the virus will be neutralized enough to run other scans (like Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, and Avast)

Remove whatever these programs find.

All there is to it

Good luck
