Its different because of the fact that AGE is the issue when legally defining who is a kid. I think its much broader than a biological number and actual maturity and experience should be considered instead of just age. An 18 year old male and a 15 year old girl might actually be more compatible than two 15 year olds,,and they are much more likely to have similar life experience, than a 30 year old and 15 year old. Laws shouldnt be strictly defined by a biological age,, in my opinion.
I really don't see it . How could an educated person such as your self say It's ok for a juvnile to have sex with a 18 year old but not a 100 year old . It's the same crime . I mean if the kid was 5 years old and the sex offender was 10 . It's still a crime . And I use this example because it happened . The law has to be a line in the sand before it works . when one person sees a guy having sex with a 15 year old and people are saying what a shame it shouldn't be a crime the boy is so cute . well what are you going to say when it's a ugly guy . KIll him he shouldn't be allowed to live . the line between right and wrong should be a very bright one so that we know they did it with fore thought .

For the sake of consistency, in a culture where most believe sex is natural and necessary part of maturing, we can be sure kids will have sex. If two 15 year olds having sex is no crime, neither should an 18 and 15 year old because they are in the SAME phase of life. For a 30 year old to be with a 15 year old, actually, should be no more of a crime going by the popular idea of how sex is such a natural thing and ok so long as both parties consent. However, in reality, a 30 year old has quite a different place of authority over a 15 year old than a fellow high schooler (18) year old. To not see the difference in the situations, is like not acknowledging the difference between an adult grounding a child and an adult restraining an adult against their will.

Maturity level makes a huge difference, as well as level of influence, and neither of those have ages set in stone.

When you say child sex offender, what do you mean? A sex crime committed by someone under the age of 18? Or a sex crime committed by an adult over 18 on a child under 18? Or a sex crime committed by an adult on a child under say about 12 years old?

This right here just pises me off. This could have been prevented years ago. How many times has this guy been reported? Quite a few.

Now all the sudden AG Biden is taking a serious stance on this. How about when it was reported to HIS office last year? He did nothing, and yes he was in office then and yes un NH the AG can suspend a medical license after just 1 complaint on an accusation like this. Biden did nothing then, but now that the media is involved he wants to do something now. Pllleeeaaassseee.
