Topic: CAN'T READ ENTIRE BIO

When I click to read the person's bio and interests, there are ads with black backgrounds covering up some of the words in the person's bio. I've tried it with more than one...I get the same thing...and I can't find a place to click on to get rid of the ad.

Can you fix this please?

Thank You

Hi spiritualme,

The administrators would have to confirm this, but it sounds like maybe your javascript might not be updated or something like that.

Hummm not sure are ya'll saying that to the right of the screen the words ect are running into a black area where they can not be read?

If so you may need to adjust your screen to meet with the format of the site... Easy way to do this is to is click on the screen hold down your Ctrl & Alt keys down and roll your mouse bar to adjust the screen in order to get the whole screen within the format.

Hope this helps if not then Admin will look into the problem to see what they can find out....

Humm rolling your mouse forward it should make it get the words get bigger and rolling it down should make it smaller after wards let go of the keys and just click on the blank area. See if that will make it stay and remember it...whoa

Hi, carold. As you may be aware, we permanently adjusted the site's format a while ago:
http://mingle2.com/topic/show/260206

If you have not done so already, you may have to adjust your screen's resolution settings.

Of course, anytime a large photo or long string of text is posted, it can stretch out the page into the black borders. In those cases, even people with the correct resolution may have trouble reading the text. We'll have to come up with a fix at some point in the future for such cases.

In addition to the above, you can also use cntrl+a , and highlight the entire screen, making the entire text visible.

Yes! This is the same problem I have also with the black on the right of many pages. I could not read the bio of some.

Had a friend come in who knows more about such things and he tried the mouse bar thing and it did not do anything about the black covering text on the right.

Welcome to the site, vincente77. Have you tried widening your computer screen's resolution? We switched to 1000px layout a while back.

My resolution is 1280 x 800, so I did not try changing the resolution.

I did try to change the size of the text, but by the time all of the text was to the left
of the black column, it was too small to read.

Black text blends with the black background, in the black column on the right.

There is a post above, where the text is purple.
This provides a contrast with the black background.

The text in this composition box, does not bleed over into the black column.

From the looks of things, there are some misaligned iFrames.
I'm not a technician, so I'm just guessing, based on appearances.

I've been Minted, anyway, having recently installed Linux Mint 9.
So far, I like it.

I've replied to this topic, rather than starting a new topic, because it seemed to fit my own problem.
