Hi Jayne and Carold Jayne, sorry about the letter...that sucks! Carol..you should see the saloon...it's all coming together now! I know Bill, just haven't had time to go shopping! I bet. I read there keeping you busy with other things. They've finished the trim, nearly...and the electricians are there hanging all the new light fixtures...it's really looking good..and the hired guys have been cleaning up outside...we will be ready to open it in two weeks!! I'm so excited!!

Today was so bad between Brian and my husband pulling crap that I am actually having a scotch and water now and I NEVER drink alone!!! OK let me mix a drink BV and coke coming up Thanks, you're not going to make me drink alone!!

Evening all! Tim, better to be pissed off than pissed on.... Jayne, hard lesson to learn, rejection....just be there when he is ready to talk...he's probably really embarrassed too and trying to save face...easier to act mad when you're a guy than to appear crushed....least that's how my 4 boys and hubby acted. JMO Hi Mary. Oh that is so true! And I know he will listen to Jimmy more than me about this stuff. Jimmy was sweet today. He said "Mom you got enough to worry about. I will talk to Brian and we will work out another plan. Don't even think about it" I love that my son is so grown up now!! that rocks, glad to see a young man with a head on his shoulders

Hi Vivian, Jan, Bill and Tim. Just wanted to say hi but I'm not staying long. It has been a bad day. Brian got a rejection letter from the college he wants to go to and won't talk to me give him his space, I know as a mom you want to fix things but guys need space at times Thanks Tim. I know. He went slamming out of here. I know he needs his space but I am just afraid that he is going to just let the next 3 months of school go downhill and not graduate. My son Jimmy said he will talk to him so I will let him handle it. It's just really hard. His father is no help when it comes to education you can talk to him next week when he calms down, just let him know your there when he's ready with out being pushy Good advice. Thanks. I'm just dreading the next couple of days because we are getting another foot of snow and we will be stuck in the house together That sucks for both of you.... All the advice the others gave you is great....but still the problem remains for now... What are the other college options for his desired major? Are any of them do-able? Good luck, Mom... He has ADD which wasn't diagnosed til a year ago so his overall grades are low. I think the community college for a year would be a good idea. get him use to college work load but he wanted to play football

He will be 25 next month but he is my rock. He is very level headed and Brian looks up to him.

I was going to one college and was rejected by them because of one losy point on the Praxis test. I was crushed, embarassed, and mad all at one time. I bawled for a week and beat myself up telling myself that I TOO STUPID for college and wanted to give up.........but I didn't. I just went to another college. I had MANY mountains to climb to get there but come May, I will proudly walk across that stage with a 3.89 GPA I DID IT, and so will your son! Joey gave up his full ride because of his dad's death and trying to deal with it. That was 5 years ago, and FINALLY he is talking about going back. I just once in awhile would encourage him to try again and then drop it. I hope I have been an inspiration to him to keep trying.

Yep--make sure the credits are transferable
