I had this once for someone - unfortunately it was not reciprocated and he betrayed my trust in every way possible! I stayed with him for 23 years thinking my love was enough for both of us. It wasn't. His loss!! "Love" has left me less trusting and more self reliant. "Love" has taught me that I may not be capable of "unconditional love" because there are some things that will not be tolerated or accepted. I know what you say exists - I see it in my friend's lives and I have felt it - but don't know that I will ever allow myself to be that blinded and vulnerable again to see if it is really possible. Here's to you and hope you cross the path of that special someone very soon!
