Have seen the others, wasn't really into Moulin Rouge, though. The others were good though.

And if I could type tonight it would be a miracle! Argh!

Depending on your age stress can make you gain weight...

It's not age related. Stress causes the body to crave carbohydrates, which causes weight gain. The brain craves carbs because it is looking for glucose, its primary energy source and Tryptophan. Stress also raises the hormone Cortisol which causes sugars to be stored as fat (so does drinking coffee).

After 911 sales of junk food rose 85%.

Taking 900 mg of 5-HTP every day will help to combat the effects of stress.

If I really need it, I usually do Valerian Root. Sadly, it doesn't sedate me totally out, but it does help with relaxing.

Will look into the 5-HTP, though.

5-HTP raises your Serotonin level, and when your Serotonin goes up your stress hormones are reduced and your appetite goes down...

Oh yes, that's usually what I do. We're currently floating in about 4 inches of rain right now, though. sad2 I may have to trade the car for a boat... Ugh.

today's world seems engineered from the ground up to increase stress in the general population.

Does a body good. I've lost 5 lbs in about 2 weeks. whoa

Can't wait for a warm-up. At least riding the horse will be a better way to go about it.

Try a bacterial infection! I lost about 30 pounds last July with one of those!!

I had that issue with oxycodone, one time. 30 lbs in a month. It was really bad.

I see you're not too far down I-45 from Dallas. It would appear that Ennis does not have a rec center but Dallas does. If you're interested, try www.lonestarfitness.com

LOL! Been considering that. There's a little 24-hr fitness type thing in Ennis, that I've been considering. Of course, there IS a treadmill and all-in-one gym here are the house, but it's currently being used for storing crap on. Despite how many times I clean it off. Mutters...

The horse-back riding will be the biggest thing, and getting back to it when we stop with the cussed rain and warm up some.

And really, while I don't have 3000ft of fence line to put in this year, I do have the chicken pen to expand, and trees to cut this year, so that work will help physically, mentally and health-wise.
