They have the Belleville City Police...which is the department I am
dealing with and the O.P.P...BUT they aren't much better and tend to be
racist...Read the Ipperwash Inquiry Final Report that just came out
about an unarmed native protetser Dudley George being shot my them and
the lies and racism that surrounded it and you will understand what I
mean...It was just released a couple of weeks ago and I am still reading
it...BUT it's absolutely disgusting!!!!!!!!!

I remember hearing a bit about that. The RCMP aren't much better though.
Saskatoon sticks out in my mind.

what would happen if while you still show some bruising and have photos
, you just took yourself down to the station with your friend and sat
there till someone took a report?

taking with copies of everything and any letters of support + the names
of those already involved that know you are there to demand your rights
to file a complaint at least on the officers that were on duty at the
time, if you still can't identify the perps...they should have done more

Morning Texas and catch...Well the thing is that I have given them now 3
opportunities to do their jobs...One at the scene..One when I called
Sunday and told them exactly what it was about and one in the voice
message...At this point...I don't think they will be objective with the
complaint...Nor do I think a proper investigation will be done on the
assault because if it is...they will then have to admit their own
officers neglected their duty. I have about 2 seconds left worth of
patience for being screwed around...SOOOOO that is why I am trying to
find the proper person to report both to!!!! Also I know me and I may
blow a gasket at being screwed over once more and the police station is
not the place to do that and make myself look like sone kind of
nut!!!!!!

We have all the pics etc and my doctor documented everything as
well...It's a matter of who will do the right thing at this point...It's
solely I'm sure because it involves a complaint that we are being
screwed around like this!!!!!!!

In our troubled time, Gwen hung a plaque over the toilet I always use, I
read it for over 2 yrs before I opened up & let it in.

Did you call the cab company they should have a record of the address
they dropped them at shouldn't they??

Exactly...It's just the frustration and having to deal with so much
right now...NOT to mention I have been very irritable after being
assaulted...Plus returning to work right away and trying to deal with
life on top of all this...Is starting to get to me and take it's toll
right now...BUT I will not give up and speaking and dealing with the
right person will help that I'm sure!!!!!!

That's being worked on as well catch...I haven't heard anything back
from them yet...My uncle is good friends with the owner of the cabn
company and he is handling that part of it...Thank GOD!!!!!!

I'm too new to know old vs. new but I see it happen to others besides me
that their posts get ignored while the topic gets hijacked, over and
over again. On other boards a moderator will step in and get things
back on topic. I enjoy the free environment here, it just requires a
bit more discipline and maturity to make it work. While some people are
goofing around others may feel left out. I'm not complaining for
myself, just offering some constructive advice.
