I agree with Lewis

Letterman used to be bizarre and funny

pushing stuff off the roof and smashing things with a hydraulic press

now he just seems lika mean old man crabbing about everything

even his Bush jokes and Sara Palin jokes arent funny, just hateful

Conan came out on top of all this. he kept of a halfway classy image through it all

bet he winds up on FOX with a bigger contract

he's a funny guy
he deserves a nice big payout after the way NBC treated him

yah

I think he got $45 million

and $12 million to split amongst his staff who are also losing their jobs (after moving their families to California for the new show)

not enough in my book...
Don't believe that Leno is going to give them what they want.

Will he be kicked to the curb next?

I actually thought his recent top ten about Sarah Palin was funny.

What a send-off!!! Tom Hanks was hilarious.

Neil Young singing "Long May You Run." I love Neil Young. Here's the video link.

And then Will Ferrel, Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top, Robert Randolph on slide guitar & Beck & Max's group doing their cover of "Free Bird", it was just hilarious & awesome at the same time. And who knew that CoCo could lay down some hot licks? Great TV stuff. At one point when Conan was recounting what his fans meant to him, I thought he was going to breakdown. Good luck "Red". waving

I really liked Conan when he was in NYC. Didn't much care when he moved to LA. I just watched the last episode and it was okay. The best part was "Free Bird". I never knew Conan could play so well.

NBC has really gone down the crapper in the last year or so. SNL really really REALLY sucks now. Only thing worth watching is the News Update and it's just okay. The majority of the cast now is holding on for dear life for their jobs and I guess are doing whatever material is presented before them. A new batch of actors/writers is needed asap. Their writers have just given up and the guest hosts act like they've never been in front of a live audience before. Jay was boring before and he'll be boring again.

SNL is the absolute worst. I tried watching it last year. The first sketch was pretty funny. It went downhill from there.

I would say: let it die, but I remember thinking that at different times, throughout the years, only to get a new cast and writers and have it resurrected into something funny again.

In my humble opinion, the problem with SNL is not the writers or the cast, although throughout the years some have been superior to others, it's Lorne Michaels. He's the one common denominator for the decline. He's out of touch, out of ideas & over due to be replaced.
