why do i suddenly feel like i stepped into a classic novel?

are you trying to prove i'm male?

Tom Sawyer, right? or was it Huckleberry Finn? they were trying to imitate a girl and their mannerisms because one of them was trying to fool someone?

consider it a poll to investigate how gender roles have evolved over a certain period of time.

plus - i was recently reminded of this little conundrum and thought it would make for a fun thread.

Due to an ex pouring a cup of tea in my lap this resulted in drop kicking her into the next county, where she spent many months recovering from jer injuiries in hospital.
This caused a drain on hospital funds and me facing a claim for damages and an appearance in front of a judge. who had to take a break during the trial in order to come to the correct punishment, i was bound over to keep the peace fined heavily and all because i cudnt drink the tea in my lap next time i will ask her to put it in a cup instead!!laugh laugh Anna x

there was an old Mark Twain story

I dont remember what story, but in it was a boy who was pretending to be a girl

and a guy pitched a keyring to him and he caught it in his lap by closing his knees

and by that the guy knew he was a boy

because (according to Mark Twain) a guy will close his knees to catch something and a woman because of her dress (this was the 1800's) will open her knees to use the dress to catch something

that was a hundred years ago so who knows if it is still valid

I'd probably just drop it anyway, so it doesn't how I tried to catch it.....tears

depends, if it was a bowling ball, i'd probably close my legs and try and protect my jewels. if it was an egg, i'd probably spread my legs and give my hands space to move down as they try and cushion the blow.
