Is there any secret in getting your computer to show it's content on a television screen?I already ran the cables from the laptop port to the LCD television port and all I get is the screen saver with no icons.Web pages do not load either.I already changed the display settings to the highest resolution, and checked the box to have the displays mirrored(or to show on both screens). In the settings menu I can see the television is loaded in the computer as a option for settings for display purposes so I know they are communicating. Any information would be appreciated.

I have am running windows Vista with a new LCD Sony television.I am computer savvy so don't be afraid to lay the tech lingo on me.

I was having trouble recently when trying to use my new(er) video card with dual displays. I ended up having to boot into "safe mode" (where it lets you select safe mode, or to continue booting normally). There was an option to "enable EVGA mode". I selected that and it works fine now.
