I can sit here and say I know how you feel but that would be lying. I've been blessed that my son did not go over instead they released him while he was in boot camp due to a metal plate and 8 screws in his ankle. He tried to go in and was sent home during boot camp...due to that... strange how the recruiters knew about it and still let him join but then the medical doctor caught it and sent him home.
I've always had both of my kids close by but........I do know it would totally tear me up to know one of mine was over there specially now.. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your son. There is nothing worse then the distance between a parent and a child and feeling helpless.... Keep the faith.......bless you both.....

My warmest thoughts and deepest prayers go out for you and all those who have family serving around the world...
I grew up military just outside Ft Bragg NC. I have been a military daughter, wife, and now a military mother- My heart knows the anxieties you feel. My son has done a tour "over there" and may be going back again soon. God Bless and keep our service members- and give grace to those who await their safe return. |

Bryan, I really hope you are hanging in there. I would be more than happy to say a prayer tonight for your son to come home safe. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I have not heard that.My son leaves in Sept.Just got his orders this weekend.He will be one of the guys that walks along side the fuel tankers up on the front lines.I truely pray there is truth to that!

Last night when I was working,My son comes in to tell me what his orders are.While we were talking,this little 3yr old came up to him & said (thanks for serving)She was the cutest little angel.I told him,(thats whats all about) Giving these little ones a future & freedom.
GOD BLESS ALL WHO SERVE & THE FAMILYS BESIDE THEM!!

I meant to say from in Iraq...apologies The last I heard on their about Iraq was they will STILL be keeping about 50.000 troops their indefinitely as old ones come home and new ones go over? THATS even after our dead-line to have our troops out... Many who are getting to come back state side,,,its a short visit, then deployed BACK OVER to Afghanistan. I am keeping you and your son always in my Prayers.. |
