Well, all molecules are living things when it comes to communication, as their very nature by definition!

The answer is in the question. Of course there is constant connected interplay, that's the law of energy, atoms, molecules, chemistry ...

... And, metaphysically? ... Also! All connected, one large organism in constant interplay, dialogue, flux!

Well, there are raw belief systems, then there is science ... which is proving, or disproving belief systems!

I BELIEVE all is connected and in contact ... One part plus part, by part to summate a bigger whole!

Science would say there is always a response ... that is some type of understanding, relevant to each subjective interpretation ...

Just the way water takes form, then overtakes form ... quite alotta communication to ME!

i got to know that water understands our Emotions towards it.. and then it reacts accortingly, it can be negative or positive

Hmmm.... well, if you define "understand" as "able to respond", then you flatten the set of all possible means of responses, and no longer discriminate between 'ways of arriving at a response' which may involve greater complexity.

I would like to reserve the word 'understand' for something a bit more involved than just 'able to respond'.
