Your whispers, echo through the halls.
Shadows give-way, etching faces on the walls. Hollowed, as death in a closed tomb. Dehumanized, as that, of a castrated womb. Eternally Severed from all of humanity. Laying cold, disfigured, without sanity. Spitted-out, disembowel. As you would have bitten of spoiled, rotted fowl. Still now, silenced, murdered, sloughy in part. Forever voided, this once so caring and gentle heart. |

I mourn with. and further to be shared. At first, reading this leaves me with deep sadness, as though mourning is the point being made. There is no light to be seen. Your eyes are drawn down the hall in hopes of..something better at the end. It is not there. In context it is tremendous, the descriptions keep you looking. They are compelling. For me, I think a poem as it applies to me, or someone I know. This brings it home to reside in the deepest parts of me, where expression feels..for me. |
