Told You

Have I told you lately?
It's the reason we're all here.
Looking for that brightness
to draw away, make clear.
To talk, share our moments,
when quiet looms and weaves.
Just to know that presence,
fills our deepest needs.
If not today, was last?
A moment or two, ago?
In the middle of the rush,
perhaps, to take it slow.
To wrap, may it soothe,
hold for however, long.
Whatever it takes,
be it weak, to make strong,
Have I told you? I love you.
I pray it's not too late.
So many things could happen,
Tonight, I could not wait.
