Reason to Breathe

The dark room
was engulfed with our desire’s flame . . .
burning,
slowly
deliciously.
I watch
in anticipation
as you remove your robe
to reveal the very essence of beauty;
soft supple skin decorating a soul as deep the night dark.
You walk towards the bed
with the grace of pure elegance
taking my breath away;
yet giving me a reason to breathe.

The contrasting colors
of your naked body against the white sheets
sing
as hints of moonlight dances across the rise and fall your breast.
I undress,
in full manhood
to join you.
I discover your moans with kisses;
several where feminine purpose resides;
your back arches,
you scream . . . I kiss you more.
The release of your soul’s river flows in unison with your last moan;
I feel you collapse.

As I enter you,
time refuses to move forward
as if this is the moment of my soul’s eternity.
Our hips gyrate to the sound of love’s music,
moving deeper
and deeper into ecstasy
until the rush of passion silences the night.

The room is still dark,
yet sweat showers the flames of our desire . . .
smoldering,
slowly
deliciously
to our quiet noise.
