Yep, been there done that LOL. What IS love anyway? And when person
finds love, how long does it last? Then it is gone and it hurts like
heg. And it all starts over again. And again. Since no one is perfect -
that is why I think it is happening lol. People start taking other
people for granted - something like that. That is why I am not going to
fall in love ever again. Just friends lol. I hope you will have a better

what is love.....
Love is not knowing what today will be like or what tomorrow will but as
long as you have each other.... Does it really matter....and then
again,,, love hurts too.

Love hurts... Perhaps. But what hurts even more is the absence of love
or when the one you love betrays your trust...

because love is a gift freely given and to hunt for a gift is a futile
effort

Yep that is true. No pushing. I heard someone said (don't remember who):
if you love something - set it free. If it returnes to you - it is
yours. If it does not - never was yours. Now about that question that
was avoided: if love is a gift, then WHO is the giver?

Ok let me think about it. Love is a gift. Gift is given by one person to
another and should be received (with gratitude) by that other person. It
looks like mutual gift exchange in order for it all to work out I think.
If one gives the gift and another does not take then it looks like
rejection lol. Someone has to accept (take) the gift

to accomplish mutual gratification

So if let's say on your birthday I give you gift - 100000$ then you
should return that gift back? (That is, metaphorically speaking??)

I think love is that kind of gift that involves mutual giving and mutual
receiving. Example of love between parent and kid, for example, parent
is very happy when his or her kid accepts (TAKES) the gift that parent
gives. It gives the parent the pleasure to see kid happy with the gift.
Imagine if the kid returened the gift back??

To me, love is the giving of oneself to another, for the betterment of
the other. When you give your love freely, you also accept the love in
return. Hopefully, they are strong enough to surrender what is given.
