I had some I thought were scammers. I am dating a lady now that you would think to be a scammer. But isn't.

Sorry that you have not had a positive experience but at Christmas time being solo can put a negative spin on things.

Since you are not posting I doubt you get the best benifit of this site which is an opportunity to interact with other people who are willing to be social and keep you current with dateing skills. What the opposite sex is thinking and what their feelings and concerns are help you relate in your personal life.

The bonus is you actually can develope friendships that will give you comfort, hope, emotional support, advice to consider all all kinds of topics, companionship, and humor.

Will you actually meet someone? Yea if you are willing to expand your horizons and take a chance. While I might be the fartest thing from your dream girl, or am, you haven't contacted me and I am in your area. If not me; it is quite likely that I know someone who is and if you are a nice, funny, active, articulate person on line it is much more likely that I am going to say hey you should see this guy we should invite him to join us doing something fun.

It is all about attitude. Being the grinch who stole Christmas cheer and insults the people who use and like the site is not helping your persona.

I have had a great time here at Mingle, it is the best 'free' dating site out there.

I have learned a considerable amount about returning to the dating world after a 18 yr absence. It was also a place to talk, chat, met new people, new ideas about things, and I finally met someone about 6 months ago.

The conventional wisdom is to post a lot, let folks get to know you-get to know them, then things start happening.
BUT.....I have also seen people who post rarely if at all find dates and relationships here too.

I also did not rely on the internet for all of my dates either.

P.S. to the OP. When you start a thread stick around and 'chat with folks'....thats how we get to know you and you..us.

Sorry you feel that it is a waste of time, but in order to get noticed you have to jump in the forums that is one way to get to know someone. There are a lot of good people here.
