Yep, I just signed up. Why? I have no idea really. I guess it's because I was bored and home alone on Christmas Eve night. I was advised to "get envolved with the forums" so here it is. Nothing fancy, nothing out of the ordinary. I'm not sure if I'm looking for the right girl, or just a friend....maybe a friend that turns out to be the right girl... Hmm interesting. I joined this site last night (looks pretty good) and POF this morning. So far I've only gotten emails from POF but it hasn't even been 24 hours yet. I'm not counting on too much, but hopefully I'll be surprized

I got tons of emails over there....it just isn't the kind of emails I wanted lol

IMO the mingle community is more fun and welcoming. But I'm slightly biased

Honesty I think all sites are about the same.Truly what you put into it, is what you most likly get out of it.
I like the forums here.One tends to get an idea of people, based on their threads, or replys on threads.Sure there are some that are serious looking for a mate, others in relationships, and just post to have new friends, some just bored and come here for laughs.
So you really have to put yourself out here on this site.

My family all had seperate plans this year, so I stayed home and made myself some enchiladas and rice crispy treats. Aaack! As someone who works in animal rescue -- do not feed your pets human food! Their lives are shortened; they gain weight and have high cholesterol! They are at high risk for heart, liver and kidney failure.

I've seen really bad things in my 18 years of volunteer work and poor diet is one of the worst abuse issues around.

Back to you ... I am sorry you spent the holidays solo. I did too. I have no family remaining and my friends did their family stuff. I stayed home with my pets too!
