well I didn't work in a hospital. I worked for a doctor's office and then for a diagnostic center. Those were like pulling teeth as it is. I couldn't imagine doing billing for a hospital. And it was always the government insurances that I had the most trouble with and they have the lowest contractual prices as well

And it was always the government insurances that I had the most trouble with and they have the lowest contractual prices as well My mother works for a billing agency. I can at least understand your point of view on this. If you add insurance, you need to calculate the cost of insurance agents, billing agents, extra secretaries for the hospitals to keep more paperwork, and that leads to practices like "defensive medicine", which makes things even less efficient. So taking the amount of extra employees you have to pay alone accounts for much of your $1,000 ER bill. Then, as you said, Medicare will usually pay about $500 of that. So now the hospitals are starting to hurt financially, and where are they going to get the money, if not from the people and the staff? I don't know....i'm just ranting... the whole thing ticks me off. |

I thought the Republican claims have been that Medicaid would be cut by this health-care bill. Now I read one of their own, Linsay Graham saying, "Among other things, Nelson got an agreement that the federal government will pay to expand Medicaid services in Nebraska. Which is it? Will Medicaid benefits be cut, or expanded? Make up your mind dumbarse. LMAO She is correct in saying that those changes take effect in Nebraska. No other state is given the same expansion paid for. NO! No other State will have help paying for the expansion but Nebraska. That's not entirely true either. Other States will get help just not at the level Neb will. |

Who cares...
Fact is we will be paying for a system that will never come about. We pay 3 years (or is it 4) before ANY of this happens... Then Congress changes the law and poof... money gone done the hole... Medical not available cause congress will gut and limit... to balance the budget... We uns is getting snookered. and it (at various diffenent times) has been done by both party's. HAS IT NOT! tick tick tick. 1 if by land 2 if by sea... 3 if they using the law to bind me. So then? is it time for paul to ride again? |

No again.
Different options of the bill will be phased in at different times/ The pre-existing conditions for children starts immediately. As does the legislation and fines for Insurance companies raising premiums at will and the shopping for policies by consumers, which will begin lowering costs of policies by adding competition to the market place. |

Dream on....in la la land It is estimated that a family of four making $66,000 will still pay 10% of that in premiums over and above deductibles and co pays. |
