I say it's a lie! The Republicans, by offering nothing but obstruction chose not to be involved in negotiations. Incorrect observation... Twas quite the opposite... Every Republican 'offer' was slapped aside by the democratic majority... Reality bites... Check the ammendments and what they would have done... Then work real hard to convince yourself that 'nothing' was offered... REAL PROGRESS WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE... Had Congress and the Senate listened to all of us. Astroturf is what I am... Dont' tread on me. You are either dreaming or have not been paying attention at all.  Seriously
as for why the republicans can't vote for the bill without the public option....if you would listen you would know....the bill without the public option is worse than the bill with the public option. It is obvious you have no idea why there is such a unified republican objection to this bill. |

Except for the stubborn and blind 28%, the truth shall shine like a million stars onto the people. Defection amongst the Republican Party will become as common place as sunglasses on a bright day! |

Ok my GF the social worker just left. we drank a couple white russians and talked for a while. She home to her kids me to picking up my son at his GF in twenty minuts. Anyhow she was talking about her clients and she told me how much the government does for the indignants. There are so many people allready getting treatments from the government. Mental help, addiction help and even food help for addicts. We pay one way or another for people without insurance be it in emergency rooms services or through social services, it seems t he only people who get screwed are we hard working people regardless. Our premiums go up and up often times beyond our financial reach while the fat cats take home hundreds of thousands if not millions in profit. WE NEED A NEW PLAN.......

A final thought on healthcare before the holiday. People need to understand that the investing class is heavily invested in the medical industry through shares of stock. Its a world wide way of makeing money. Investors in China are as likely to own these stocks as Americans or Germans. You can bet the owner of your company or business has medical stocks in their portfolio. Everytime the rates go up their dividend increases. They have no interest in holding down costs as long as they can pass it on to their employees. How can we as individuals defend ourselves against this? We simply cant. A govrnment of the people is the only power that can stand up to the investing class that owns the media. When the republicans say they are against big governemnt what they realy are saying is "we do not wish any power to challenge the investing class" What is sad is so many working people buy into that hook line and sinker.
