Topic: Standards & Expectations?

I believe in setting standards for myself and in having expectations of myself. And I try to keep an open mind, aware that often, people will surprise you.
There is something to be said of loving someone for who they are. Not for who they were or who they can potentially become. If you can't appreciate someone, don't try to build a relationship with them.

If only other people could understand that concept!!

In the remote and primitive backwater desolation known to the locals as "Indianastan," such an idea would seem absurd at best!

And just what would your response be if some stuck-up high-end man told you that you did not even come close to his much higher expectations?

Makes sense. No one can turn you into a goat in your own private reality!

I think I need an island. Wow, THAT is going to cost me....

Okay I'll crawl back into my hole now, make myself a nice sandwich and start randomly e-mailing wemens with expectations I could never, ever, hope to satisfy.

makes me wonder if there are people here (not necessarily active on the forums) who send out the nastiest things ever to have newcomers deactivate within a day.

Really? Do you think that happens?
Recently I've been hit with alot of scammers, that would make me deactivate if it was right off in the beginning.

I love a woman that knows what she wants.

Problem is.. finding the one that wants similar to what I want.

The one that is willing to strive for a lot of the same goals as I, so we can make the journey together.

But if she thinks knowing what she wants means for her to run my life for me.. NO THANKS !

Eh, I was still stupid when I was 24, I'd rather be the age I am now, at least I've learned from my mistakes and hopefully I won't repeat them.

I hear from a lot of guys that they like women who know what they want. However, when those of us come along who DO know what we want, yet our expectations aren't in line with theirs (or God forbid, higher than theirs), we're labeled as stuck-up, high-end women. Why is this?

Because you won't give head!tongue2
