Tis the Season, thats what they say.
To be Jolly, or at least, in a giving way.
Shadows of beautiful past Christmas times.
Memories of when I had love all around.
So many years now, since that feeling has been found.
Feeling old, feeling cold, feeling living, is so,,,un-bold.
Just exercising my energies, to smile and to please.
No-longer my friends feeling a space, to see and hear my mind race.
A comic by popular vote, hell, many use-to, take notes.
Now so few still left here, even to see, and I'm not yet, fifty-three.
Where went the days of laughter and pissed in their pants.
Now finding myself here, listening to strangers, yelling rants.
Sure I have my kids,,yes, Jesus is in my heart, so true.
But living without any future plan, living as one man.
I can do anything I so desire, I just don't do well, to self inspire.

Living a drifter, roaming state-to-state, not residing, just present.
No-one beside me, no-one to care, radio screaming, my time spent.
All-my-past-Christmas's and all-those-to-be, all that surrounds, I see
Tis the Season, to give and feel blessed.
Still all I can think about is just being kissed.
A modern day cowboy, living out here on this plain.
Writing my songs here, living through all of life's pain.
Christmas presents under a tree, not out here with me.
No Christmas Carol singers,just my voice to the radio,and my fingers
Snapping out the beat, setting in my pilots seat.
Watching all the lives out here, being loved and held so very dear.
All the kids making snowmen, cars filled with wrapped gifts of joy.
Couples holding gloves together, in all of this freezing cold weather.
Me as one, just driving along, singing out laud, some Christmas song.
