what do you think?

yes...america is burning..just like Rome..spread out too far...
too many fires going at once...and a corrupt senate (congress).
just like all empires..rise and fall...we are falling

history repeats its self they say..I tend to agree we repeat it until we
get it right...still haven't gotten it right

everybody wanted to go to Rome
everybody wants to come to USA

They wanted to come, but when they got there they satisfied themselves
with bread and the circus....

Different times different names

Personally, I don't think the 'illegals' is a problem at all.
Immigration keeps our country young (literally) and brings new blood and
new ideas to our shores. It is what gives us a chance, despite all the
other nonsense we are doing, of becoming a great country relevant to the
whole world.

What i meant was with regard of what u said that those who went to Rome
satisfied themselves with bread and circus.
My illegal brothers and sisters satisfy themselves with low wages (below
5 dolars), humiliation, discrimination, etc.

I read the topic as empires...

The Roman Empire as an historical reference point...and my mind cast
back over a saying, "All great empires come to pass"

I was thinking of a different tack, a different train of thought, I
looked at it as a comparison...

Ah, sorry, I missed the point...

From what I see of the hispanic-looking (whatever that is) workers
around here, of whom I assume quite a few are illegal, they seem to work
very hard and diligently and carefully. I kid with them a bit as I come
and go, and every now and then bring them cold leonade or hot chocolate,
depending on the weather.

Though they may be here illegally, I have a lot of respect for their
integrity and the gumption they have to improve their lives and support
their families.

This is all based on those that I see here and in Colorado. I know it is
a small sample....

U see i refer my illegal brothers and sisters, as a manner of referring
to all the illegal people in the USA.

reality is that they are mine, too. We are all human beings, and
anybody who works hard, has integrity, and seeks to make the world a
better place -- whether it is for immediate family or the species as a
