Topic: An Unexpected Day Off Work | |
---|---|
I went to work and my supervisor yelled at me so I called the boss and told him I was leaving and taking the day off. I am a supervisor also and never yell at my crew....so I only ask the same. So tomorrow we are all having a meeting.....not sure what to expect. To many supervisors, that's the problem. So, I'm grumpy right now... |

I hope everything turns out for the good. It is a shame for a team member to act like that. Really uncalled for.

Yelling is a sign of losing control. A good supervisor would never yell.

Sounds like they need retraining. I used to work daycare, and it wasn't necessary to yell at the children, certainly not necessary to yell at adults.

Yelling is a sign of losing control. A good supervisor would never yell. exactly...which is why my crew is the most productive!! I never yell at them, and I won't be yelled at by my super...I'm a big girl now! |

Just got back from my meeting....paid time off till January 4th. And he didn't want my office keys. So a needed break, I think it went well and have finally earned my owners respect...we had quite a spat and he called me a firecracker, blew me a kiss and said see ya on the 4th. My supervisor who yelled at me was not there.....

My supervisor who yelled at me was not there..... You got yelled at because you are doing your job properly. Oft times people in certain positions who yell are losing control of a situation, the fact that you are that person'e equal and do not need to raise your voice to your team has been observed by your co-equal ( supervisor) it puts the spotlight on that person (not in a positive light either) which I take it they did not like. Maybe there has been comparisons made between your work and the other persons and maybe comments on how it is you do not shout but still get the job done. |

You showed their a$$! I held my ground..I just needed to get past my super to the owner and I did. I don't take any chit, however I stay true to who I am while not taking it. I was honest, sincere and kind... |
