I'm not talking Bible here but...
Do you think each person was put on Earth for a distinct purpose?
Have you wondered what your "Purpose is" or do you think you know what your purpose is?

How do we know?

A personal purpose, yes. I believe the reason we are here is for the development of our real selves.

I know, for me. But, I couldn't prove it to anyone nor would I want to try. Figuring it all out is part of each person's purpose.

My purpose is to be as kind and caring for my fellow humans as I can be and try to bring as much happiness to those around me that I possibly can!!

Yes, I believe we each have a distinct purpose, I finally understand mine...it is a very personal journey for each of to find it.

No, because the idea of someone having a "purpose" necessarily requires someone or something to make the determination as to what that "purpose" is. As I have yet to encounter any evidence that this is the case, I don't believe that there is anyone or anything determining our "purposes."



I think our only "purpose" is whatever we decide it will be. Mine is to write books; that's what I eventually determined. There is no one or nothing else out there that has any input into the matter.

Years ago this came to mind after my car was destroyed by a Semi.
Couldn't even tell what kind of a car it was, But I climbed out and walked away. Without even one scratch.

Like.... Why? is there something I am suppose to accomplish before I go.

We all have a purpose for being here. If not? what is the point of all this!Sometimes I think we never realy know untill we are gone.And then the world and family/friends tell our story!

I think it is just to be kind,understanding,and have compassion for others in this world.

From an evolutionary point of view our primary purpose is to survive as long as possible. The secondary purpose is to replicate your genes.

However, we also feel the need for something higher. You know it because you love doing it more than all the other things. You may not make money from it. In fact, others may make fun of you about doing it. But, you don't care because it's why you are here.

When you do it you can feel God's pleasure.

I know my purpose,A trait that started from my Great grand parent,and on down the line.We give what we can, to help others, to share our ears to listen,To use our voice with conviction, and trust others will listen, one good deed, is contagious, and passed on.Quite simple.... the power of love to love one another.

Most people that I speak to believe "things happen for a reason"
They spend their whole lives trying to figure out "the reasons" why the life changing catastrophes happened.

I believe "things just happen"

buddhists say "If you have no expectations, you will never be disappointed".... I try and live my life this way

growing up my purpose was to mow the lawn and change the channels on the tv for my dad

actually i`m here because of a cheap bottle of wine and a broken condom

So far.. my purpose seems to be.. to fix things for everyone.
Electrical problems, plumbing problems, roof leaks and so on.. and I get a call.
OMG.. I have become Bob the Builder

Or, as long as we have a purpose or goal to strive for.. our life has a meaning. I think I am at my best when actually learning something new.

Your purpose is what YOU choose it to be, and how possible it is is for you to make that dream come true, but never what THEY tell you your purpose is.

I don't think anyone can live without expectations.
