Have watched that show many many times all I can say is make sure your dressed neatly not so much a suit just neatly and you have all the evidence and facts in order and highlighted as well. All text messages saved and typed out if there are any. If they have left messages have the tape. Make sure if you have pictures of any damages to the property if they in fact did any as well as a contractors estimates of what it cost to repair as well. Details details details is her main pet peeve ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and never speak out of turn boy will she hammer one for that one............

Put it all up in liberty spikes and wear an anarchist shirt with the back saying "**** the law". Speaking of, I would love to be on Judge Judy.

I got a letter from them. So I think the lady I'm suing contacted them. I didn't. The show pays the airfare, hotel, meals, and I beleive the award. If you didn't know just winning a smalls claim case is one thing. Collecting the money is another. I got alot things going. But I love those shows. And think it would be fun. This is a one in a million chance to be on tv. Make sure that you put your hair in a tight pony tail! Judge Judy isn't concerned with your appearance as much as the PROOF you have to win your case........she gets really pissssssed at unorganized people without proof! Best of luck to ya! She is tough! One bad check for $575.00, and I could get 3x that. AND that woman is taking YOU on Judge Judy?????? And yes, you can sue for 3x's that amount in REAL court but for TV, I am really not sure. My profession is law. But when it comes to TV.......stuff changes. What state are we talking about here?

I wish she couldn't be held accountable for the damages.She was a payee for someone on SSI. She wrote the check, if the claiment switched payees. she should have made sure all the checks she wrote cleared. Before she gave the money to the new payee.

Michigan Judge Judy goes by the laws of what state you reside in........so, since I am on the west coast and have NO freaking idea what the small claims laws are there....go to your local web site there in the county you live in...and check to make sure that you can sue for 3x's that amount due. Be sure to include all charges for the bank processing and anything else that is involved in it! And the best thing to remember is that if you are in the right....let the other bury themselves by argueing with Judy! This tactic never fails! Dress nice...put your hair back and above all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be respectful! Be organized and have all your paperwork ready!
