For the record... I love that movie but think that it has one of the absolutely worst endings of all time.

The only movie they ever made of an S.K. book that I really liked was The Stand or possibly Needful Things (and they changed a lot of that one too, much to my chagrin), most of them end up being so far from the original book that it ruins it for me.

i no it had such a chity ending they could have followed the book better and would have bin a better movie

Yes. Forest Whitaker is one of my favorite actors of all time. If you get the opportunity watch his film "Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai."
