Medicine is the only answer for some... but I would suggest at least trying guided meditation or extensive exercise first.

There's some unnatural chemicals in those pills they feel so comfortable handing out...

Didn't mean to diss your occupation.

I spoke with a doctor early on in my divorce & he decided I should try Paxil. I took half a pill and a few hours later I had to pull over my car cause I felt like I was going to pass out, which I did. I drove home after & spent most of the night on the toilet. That's some powerful **** to mess with your body like that. I won't touch the stuff.

I have found meditation to work for me. The pills they kept giving me just kept making me sick so I stopped taking them. I have been battling chronic depression for 20 years and I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I doubt I will ever be truly cured but it would be nice to have my life back.

Good to hear something's working for you. I don't know much about meditation but I do take some supplements that seem to help me. A good multivitamin, St John's Wort, and 5-HTP. I've been on them for four months with very little "down" time

Bill Wilson one of the co-founders of Alcoholics Anonymous struggled with depression even after years of sobriety and spiritual growth.
He researched and experimented with many things. For sober alcoholics he suggested the lots of b vitamins. I take a B mutli, with about %1000 of the RDA. Seems to help me. I Was on Paxil for a while too.
This works good for the depression without the side effects.

I don't blame you. I've been on Paxil too. Btw, I'm a talk therapist, not a pill doctor, so don't worry about offending me. I really did enjoy watching the entire series you posted.

Whats your take on mental health?

My doctor seems to think I may have bi-polar, so I get to go see a head doctor about it whoa Will prob put me on meds that make me out of it. Not sure if I want to or not. slaphead

I wish you the best of luck, and if it turns out that you do indeed have bipolar disorder there is nothing wrong with that...Most people
w/this disorder are very artistic, intelligent, and very creative. It isn't a disability, so try not to let it get you down (I know, easier said than done)...Good luck to you.....flowerforyou
