My first stereo system. It was from JC Penny. It had a tuner, a turntable, and an 8 track tape player. God...I loved that thing. I was seven.

I got dumped two hours before taking her to meet the family......

THAT was memorable!

Does that count as a gift?........cause I am sure, in retrospect, it was a good thing.

yours is the very first answer I read...usually I get more into a thread if I am a late comer, but my mood - said - yup, that was a gift. Now I gotta see how out of line I might be...love ya Krupa!

When my daughter was in nursery school they all made glittered colored dixie cups, with the pipe cleaner and a bell inside. The look in her eyes when she handed me that present to unwrap still chokes me up today
She looked at her dad and said
I did this gift from start to finish daddy all by myself.

I have it still today. She laughs at me since through the years she has bought me some pretty spectacular gifts. Deep down, this silly little Bell still means the most to me.

The last Christmas that my husband was alive I found my 'special' gift hidden in the branches of our tree. A delicate silver small watch. We always saved that special gift for last...thing is I don't do delicate and he would have known, had he not been dying, that I don't do small because I can't see small...at the time we didn't know he was dying. I simply thought off the gift as a miss..........thought he should know me better by now (17 years) Later of course I realized the real value of his gift, he took himself out alone and bought me a gift.

Sorry I am sure I should not post this, not even sure it makes sense.

The most memorable gift I've ever received is a note that asked, "Do You Love Me?" with 'Yes and No' boxes for Valentine's Day.

The most memorable gift for Christmas was having all my siblings together last year.

A "Pay-As-You-Go" phone.

My folks thought it would help me stay in touch.

I used all my minutes on it selling acid to my neighbors.

We should talk...still got that phone?smokin

On topic, nothing. I don't get gifts and never ask for gifts, I don't celebrate the majority of holidays.smokin

When I gave my old boss my 2 week notice he was very upset. He asked me why I was leaving and I told him that I wanted to pursue a literary career. For Christmas, a week later, he gave me an engraved pen that said "best of luck". For some reason that touched me deeply.

gettin a blow job on my b-day

Many happy returns.

It's your second post of the same thing on this thread. The first you put had to do to waking up to one on your birthday.

Wouldn't work for me -- I usually wake up with a bursting bladder.

Enjoy your birthdays while you can -- I am sure by the time you're 77, those annual blojos will have become pretty stale.
