Topic: Goodbye, Mininova. | |

That's it. You know what I'm talking about or you don't or at least don't yet. But I will mourn its loss and respect how hard they fought these years to maintain.

The day I lost my Pinto, was a day part of me died. I feel your pain.

For some reason I thought the headline read "Goodbye Minerva" so I was wondering who Minerva was.

Hahaha. I was referring to a torrent site. I should have been more specific. It was just said because they held such a wealth of knowledge and a lawsuit finally forced them to limit themselves to independent material today or maybe yesterday.
It just makes me sad... I found so much amazing information from this site, "The Day After Trinity," episodes of Dexter (waits for looks of disapproval), and endless underground music. Yeah... there will be another one. But they were great. They were strong and fought with all the money they had left and lost. It saddens me. That's all. I wanted to honor them... for all they allowed me to see. Minerva.... ****... that's (Greek?) mythology? Now I have something else to look up. Hehe. Much love, Calleigh12. |

Not sure about the origin of Minerva, I just wonder why I kept seeing that word. I looked twice and finally realized it wasn't Minerva at all. Perhaps my glasses need washing. |

Very sad that mininova is gone. I never really used them but they were one of the oldest and most expansive. With demonoid down for weeks now and Pirate Bay having the occassional random downtime... definitely seems like the powers that be are cracking down. At least btjunkie still seems to be working right. |
|
|
|
I'm not going to ask if someone will give me their Demonoid gift... because that's such a huge gift. But does anyone have access to it... and if so willing to admit it?

They're littered with all kinds of bad things at Demonoid. A few years ago an invite would have been awesome...anymore they have been infiltrated with too many crooked people to even bother. |

It was really what it represented to me... the freedom of information; its ease of accessibility; their tolerance and support of underground documentaries...
It's ****ing saddening to see them go because some Netherland ******** want their money more than they want to share their material. |

Wait, are we talking about pirating someones intellectual property, like movies, music, TV shows, games. without paying for it???? |

I was raised by a professional musician and holy-man who conflicts deeply with my opinion of pirating... but yeah. That's what I'm talking about. |
