I've never done that, so I don't know. I'm always eager to talk to them so I'd never ignore the call. I am if they have something to say and well to be honest when I am avoiding the calls is usually when I have ran out of things to say. That is one of the first clues that we aren't going to make it. I DON'T want to run out of things to say... I never run out of things to say, not sure if that's good or bad, I talk alot. |

There are times when I just don't feel like talking to anyone.
However, I wouldn't be lying about it because anyone that I am involved with has been told that there are times like that. |

Oh I do expect that would be quiet times with my partner.. I just want to be wanting to have that feeling of wanting to share with him. Thank you lady's I am glad to see I am not the odd duck |

If you purposefully do not answer the telephone when your bf/gf calls because your are not in the mood to talk to them is this a form of lying? (Note:You can see thieir name in your caller ID) Where do you get the notion that not answering the phone is somehow possibly lying? That's a pretty big reach. |

OP:
If you don't answer because you are not in the mood to talk to someone, or you're too tired, or too depressed, or too happy, or too wired up, or watching a DVD or something on tv... no, it's not a lie. If you are in a mood to answer it, but you don't, then it's still not a lie, it's instead an act of passive aggression. I am not saying you do that, I'm just covering all angles. |

I haven't done that, except for a few times when my ex and myself just got in an argument. If I'm flustered, then I know it's best for me to NOT talk.

Agree it could be an act of passive aggressive behavior. Even if I am NOT in the mood to answer I feel guilty for not answering. The OP is food for thought. |

Well then I guess I was a liar, cause in my last relationship I would never pick up her calls. She was OCD and 99% of her phone calls were drama! That's why I packed my s*it up and left her ***.

If you purposefully do not answer the telephone when your bf/gf calls because your are not in the mood to talk to them is this a form of lying? (Note:You can see thieir name in your caller ID) The only way I can see this as a lie is if he states into the machine I know you are there and not picking up. Then by a very far fling this can be construed as a lie. I personally love my voice mail, I do have caller ID and I shut it off alot and let my voice mail pick up if I am busy whatever. Have I done this to a BF before yes... I have,, when they have called me already 3 or 4 times with nothing to say except "Hi what are you doing?"... Agreed, and not everyone is at the beckon call and thinks every call is important. If the call is not at the appropiate time based on my immediate priorities, it gets muted and bumped into voicemail. If they try that repetitive call back trick, I just shut my phone off. Then I laugh later when I turn it back on and I see they called me 20 times. |

If you purposefully do not answer the telephone when your bf/gf calls because your are not in the mood to talk to them is this a form of lying? (Note:You can see thieir name in your caller ID) I did this one time as I was taking a poop. Now, you need to understand something. When a dude takes a poop, it is like "Me time". We don't want to be bothered at all. I don't care if the neighbors house is on fire, or the dog is dying, or a tornado is about to hit. Do not interrupt the poop time. |

Is not, it's justified: Don't call when someone's in the can.
