It gets better, Duffy;
Woods' wife buys island home in Sweden
Friday Dec. 11, 2009. U.S. golf pro … By LOUISE NORDSTROM, Associated Press Writer Louise Nordstrom, Associated Press Writer – Sat Dec 12, 1:10 pm ET

Wonder if the lil Missy will live there by herself with the kids or force the Studmuffin to be stranded on the island with her. laugh

STOCKHOLM – Tiger Woods' wife bought a six-bedroom house on a small island near Stockholm that is reachable only by boat.

Stenake Johansson, chairman of the Residential Association on Faglaro island, told the Associated Press on Saturday that Elin Nordegren became the owner on Dec. 1.

"Elin Nordegren has bought it, but I don't know how much Tiger has signed on to those papers," said Johansson, adding that his organization is still awaiting all the paperwork.

Johansson could not confirm the house's reported price of $2.2 million and said he didn't know whether Nordegren and Woods planned to move in.

Woods announced Friday he is taking an indefinite break from golf in an attempt to save his marriage following two weeks of allegations of extramarital affairs.

There have been unconfirmed reports the couple may be headed to Sweden to escape the worst of the media frenzy. Nordegren's father, radio talk show host Thomas Nordegren, said Saturday he doesn't know if that's true.

"I have no comment to this. I don't know anything, either," he said.

Faglaro is one of the thousands of islands that make up the Stockholm archipelago. The quickest route there is a 45-minute ferry from Vaxholm — considered the main municipality of the archipelago — where Nordegren grew up.

The island has about 140 properties, mostly summer homes. Only two are used all year, Johansson said.

"But the Faglaro mansion used to be an old farm. It is solid and big and can be used throughout the year," Johansson said.

Nordegren's property is among the biggest on the island. Johansson said negotiations most likely started shortly after the house was put on the market in August — well before Woods' car crash last month at his Florida home touched off the scandal.

Woods and his wife have been married for five years and have a 2-year-old daughter and a 10-month-old son.

Since turning professional in 1996, Woods has dominated the sport by winning 14 majors and 82 tournaments worldwide.

well, for all you geniuses who've made such a big deal of all this, the brilliance of tiger has finally led him to give you the finger. he's left the tour indefinately. the last time he was out for surgery tv ratings dropped forty seven percent and by some estimates over fifty percent. the industry will now be clamouring to sign the great one to get him back. they will not be able to stomach the cutting in half of their advertising viewers. i'm sure tiger is thanking you all for the chance to expose his real worth to the sporting world. john daily said it best. "it's often said that nobody is bigger than the game. tiger is". you people really crack me up.laugh laugh laugh

Last time I checked, the PGA doesn't sign golfers to contracts.

The PGA makes it's money, regardless. The only ones suffering, will be the other golfers, who won't get as big a paycheck.

no the pga does not make money regardless. the pga events are aired based on ratings, read ad revenue. why is not every pga event televised or even reported in the papers if not for viewership? why is it that the u.s. handball association who cannot promote enough enterest in the sport to gain a tv spot for the national championships each year are not near as flush with cash as the pga is? why are high school football leagues not as rich as the ncaa? it's all about tv viewership. tiger's last absence caused a fifty percent drop in viewership.

Tiger screwed it for the rest of 'em.
They'll just have to find another top rated golfer to be the "one to beat."

IMO, any athlete that a kid might look up to, that shows the world how not to live, should be banned for life.

Like Michael Phelps, he turned from an example of someone to aspire to being into a dopehead to be avoided. If I had kids, I'd block both of them from public viewing.

I think the word is integrity. Both have none.

Both are duds and losers.

Yeah, so the PGA drops the amount of money awarded to the players.

It's not rocket science, dude.

The PGA was there, making money, long before Tiger Woods came along.

To think that "indefinitely" would mean anything more than a few weeks is sort of funny, anyway.

Tiger Wood's wife, Elin, is an accomplished golfer too...

She is the only one who has been able to beat Tiger over eleven holes with just a three iron! laugh

lol, atrocity....wow

Good luck finding an outstanding athlete who leads a perfect life,, or even an average one for that matter

We elected a past cokehead and alcoholic to run our country for goodness sake,,this man is just a golfer, damn good one. Kennedy is historic as a president even though he sucked as a husband,,,one should have little bearing on the other when it is permitted to be the PRIVATE matter that it is.

So now there is some talk of possible steroid use. This is the quote from the Canadian doctor, that has provided platelet therapy in Tiger's home, which is a little odd, in itself.

"All these athletes come see me in Canada cause I fix them, and I think people just assume that I'm giving them stuff," he told the newspaper. "They don't have to come to me to get HGH and steroids. You can walk into your local gym in New York and get HGH."

Sorry, I don't think Tiger Woods could just walk into a local gym and start asking around for steroids. IF he were to use them, it would be thru a physician, I would think. Funny how this Canadian doctor talks about people coming to Canada to see him, but has made 4 trips, himself, to Tiger's doorstep.

This story just gets weirder every day.

Here is another link, explaining what the procedure is. It is a common enough procedure, and can be done in the surgeon's office in a matter of 15 minutes, according to this article.

Now why would a Canadian doctor have to visit Tiger's home to do this? Did he bring his centrifuge with him?

well maybe "atrocity" was not a good choice of words...

and come to think of it, what man has not had his wanger in a strange hole now and then, and the wife who liked the money probably had her own boyfriend.

i do not believe that the swedish wife looked the other way.....she probably had her own junk she was into...howz that for a guess? she was a nanny in her old life besides a nude model? um well...okay..

i could be wrong, but lately my age has proven that i know a few things....well "atrocity", "junk" are just guesses...

now scream and yell about that..pitchfork LOL

Why did Tiger Woods' wife use the 9 iron to break the rear window?
--Because she hated the driver...

It's official! Tiger Woods is the world's greatest golfer. He can play 12 holes at once---

Nike has a new slogan: "Just Do Me"

You've gotta feel bad for Tiger Woods. He makes millions of dollars breaking nearly every PGA record and his wife still has a better golf swing---

One of Tiger Woods girlfriends has come forward and said he is bad in bed. Apparently he finishes a few strokes under par---

What do Tiger Woods and baby seals have in common? They both have been clubbed by Norwegians.

Tiger Woods is the one who deserves the piece prize.

well i think that tiger woods has been doing what all males would like to be doing and that is diddling a few with big cahoonas, and a map of texas to match. ya know what that means "map of texas"????

something must be wrong in the marriage, or he would have stayed faithful doncha suppose? she wouldn't have taken a swing, doncha suppose?

maybe the prenup said he could get "snatch" on the side", and when she got tired of the whole thing, she could opt out, and buy herself a mansion close by on a lake? it looked like a frog pond to me.

then, another star did this same thing, fooled around while married with 3 little girls. he wound up divorcing his wifie who told us of her love forever and ever, and splat there went that marriage, when our star married his hunny in the closet. then, the wifie moved right down the street with the girls. now how cool or sane is that?

i have no judgement compunctions here, but what i am saying is that hey "life goes on" and while we r here on earth, we do what makes us happy.

maybe truly, TG had a big itch, and he had to scratch it.
