Topic: can anybody prove to me a GOD??
no photo
Sat 12/12/09 10:31 AM

The person making the claim is expected to provide the proof.

If you say that God exists, you must prove it.

If you say that God doesn't exist, you must prove it.

It's pointless to argue the topic.

not really ...because the topic address other issues, that most of the human race may be geared towards having delusions by claiming that things exist that they have no proof that it does

or having such delusions may be a key factor in the evolution of the brain when it comes to altering reality, it may be the brain's way of one day consciously controlling the subconscious which is why there may be positive or negative reasons or consequences as to why people believe in a God knowing that they have no proof that there is one beyond faith

these type of answers can never be found because the religious and/or those having the delusions or making such claims seem to go out of their way not to address questions truthfully or rationally either because they may be delusional or wish not to appear delusional

I really don't care how the universe came into being, I am happy with the fact that I am alive and that is all that matters to me.

How the universe was made or how people evolved has no effect on my life as it is.

I do not buy into the mystical being creating us, he might be there he might not, I have no proof nor am I seeking it. When I die I will get the proof.

As for the comment about his parents having sex, that only proves how he himself came into being, he didn't magically appear in a crib or basinet or something.

We don't even know which God it is that exists, if he is in fact there. Any one of the religions could be right, we just don't have any way of knowing.

If you can't prove there isn't a God, then you may very well fit into your own description.

I've three questions for you funches:
1: Can you prove God doesn't exist?
2: Can you prove you're not delusional?
3: Can you prove anyone else is delusional?

Peter_Pan...I never made a statement about there not being a God...remember I said that God does exist in your delusions and on the sci-fi channel but you have no proof that he exist beyond them ...

Then prove it, just because you use the word delusion doesn't make it so.
Prove there is no God or stop making dulusional comments, your choice.

If you can't disprove God, just admit it. Don't beat around the bush, be a man.

I've three questions for you funches:

cool

1: Can you prove God doesn't exist?

I can't disprove what's in your delusions ...er..that's delusional ..no one walks up to someone and claim that something doesn't exist unless someone first implied that it does exist...then it becomes up to the person that claim existence to prove that it does indeed exist...if they can't ...then they're delusional

2: Can you prove you're not delusional?

sure...as long as I'm not claiming belief as being truth with no proof beyond faith that it is truth

3: Can you prove anyone else is delusional?

someone has to prove that themself...but when it comes to religion the equation is ...the more religious a person is the more delusional they are and the more isolated from society they become

Peter_Pan..I've seen God on the sci-fi channel and I already said that God probably exist in your delusions ...all i asked was if you have proof that God exist beyond that...

1: Since you can't disprove God, then you believe in him. That makes you delusional...
2: Since you claim you can prove you're not delusional, show me proof.
3: You're making claims again without proof, so you're delusional.

Peter_Pan ...first find in this thread where I said that God didn't exist ...if I didn't say it..then why do you keep insisting that I disprove his existence ...isn't that delusional on your part?

Actualy, your posts imply that you do believe in God.
Aside from calling religious persons "delusional", you seem like a believer, so by your own definition, you're delusional.

Anyways...

1: Since you can't disprove God, then you believe in him. That makes you delusional... (by your own words)
2: Since you claim you can prove you're not delusional, show me proof. (you made the claim, you prove it)
3: You're making claims again without proof, so you're delusional. (by your own words)

Peter_Pan ..my post may imply a lot of things which is why I specifically asked you to show where I said that God doesn't exist....if you can't then you shouldn't imply that I have

I even answered the questions you posed to me truthfully even when the thread is not about disproving God it ask for proof that God does exist....as I stated in a previous post in this thread the religious will resort to everything but the truth when a simple question is posed to them ....if you don't have proof that God exist...then just admit it and claim faith...

Anyways...

cool more questions ...next round of questions can you make them on topic ...but anyway

1: Since you can't disprove God, then you believe in him. That makes you delusional... (by your own words)

as long as I do not claim a belief in God as truth with no proof then it's only a belief and I'm not delusional

2: Since you claim you can prove you're not delusional, show me proof. (you made the claim, you prove it)

again when I claim in my posts that through faith or belief that something is truth then I would be delusional...until I've done that then I'm not delusional ...faith as proof is delusional

3: You're making claims again without proof, so you're delusional. (by your own words)

the proof are my posts which you will not find in any of them me claiming a religious belief as being truth with no proof that it is ...

so now Peter_Pan...can we not get back on topic .....because it may be delusional for you to keep asking questions that are off topic

I gave you proof, you refuse to believe it.
When I was 5, I went through all the basic philosophical questions:
If a tree falls in the woods and noone's around to hear it...
Space is infinite...
What's the smallest particle...
Which came first, the chicken...

Even at 5 years old, I was able to grasp these basic concepts.

Now I'll explain my "proof" of God yet again...
It is illogical to think that matter or energy can come from nothing on it's own. The only logical explanation is that God, who always was, always is and always will be, created things.

Now, if you feel that things just "popped" into existence without any proof, that's your opinion. But calling everyone else "delusional", who doesn't agree with you, just makes you look like you don't have a valid rebutal.

If you want to have a civil dicussion (or debate), try responding without resorting to name-calling, circular logic, misquoting and lying. Try to actually come up with something that logically refutes the topic on hand.

That right there is contradictory. Think about it...

You call people "delusional" without proof, only opinion. It seems you put way too much faith in your own opinions. Do the math, by your own definition, what does that make you?

3: You're making claims again without proof, so you're delusional. (by your own words)

Back on page 4, you said:
"Msharmony.. you are trying to associate "Free Will" with Jesus...but of course "Free Will" had to have started with Adam and Eve before the time of Jesus....so can you explain when and how "Free Will" was not "Free""

You made a statement, you didn't quote anyone, so you own that statement. Also, the fact that you capitalise "God" and "Jesus" shows you have respect for both.

so now Peter_Pan...can we not get back on topic .....because it may be delusional for you to keep asking questions that are off topic

Keep calling people names, sooner or later everyone will see your character.

proving god doesn't exist is not the topic of the thread. the thread topic is can god be proved to exist. having said that, here are the answers to your off topic questions.

1: Can you prove God doesn't exist?

no. nothing can ever be proved absolutely.

2: Can you prove you're not delusional?

no. delusional is a subjective psychiatric diagnosis. the credibility of the diagnosis varies with the credibility of the psychiatrist.

3: Can you prove anyone else is delusional?

see answer to question 2.

Peter_Pan....that's not proof that's faith ...the thread asks for proof that your God exist beyond your mind and/or faith ...because something exist is not proof that your God gave it existence...that's wishful thinking not proof....if you claim that something can't come from nothing then explain why that wouldn't also apply to your God

ok, be a man peter pan. you keep saying that there is a god and you can't prove it. don't beat around that same bush. so prove there IS a god or stop making delusional comments. your choice as well. me? i'd never say either way. god is unknowable you see. anybody who believes either way is delusional. i'm no psychiatrist but hey, i can form an opinion huh? opinion requires no proof. is what it is.

Peter_Pan...I said that those that use faith as proof that God exist are delusional since faith do not exist beyond the mind therefore it is fantasy reality being claim as being truth ...if that does not apply to you then you aren't delusional ...er...perhaps

extreme intelectual dishonesty to suggest that someone implies or "seems like" anything in open debate. if he did not say the words it's unfair to insert what you think he implied.
