This made me think of the movie "Changeling". Based on a true story. People were put into a psychiatric hospital as "delusional" when it was agreed upon by others that what they were claiming was not true. Now, I know that doesn't give a real definition because in the movie the women who were institutionalized were targeted and this was their punishment. But, it made me realize that if the majority of people did not agree with something I believed to be true, I could be labeled as "delusional".

Thank goodness one can no longer be institutionalized against their will unless they are deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.

Perhaps delusion is when the brain projects more than one reality at once, disrupting the functioning perceptions of the observer. Like when you dream while still awake from sleep deprivation.

Refusal to acknowledge me as the center of the universe. Failing to accept that "The Hokey Pokey" IS what it's all about. These are common human delusions. But, as God, I accept even such faults among my lackys.

I am the center of the universe. I'm quite sure of this.

I am easy to get along with once you people learn to worship me. tongue2

 Or perhaps when the brain is perceiving more than one density level at a time. Too much input, creating confusion:smile: The observer being unable to distinguish between the levels of realityflowerforyou

yes. the god fearing faithful of all religions are an example of this. their learned behavioral thinking creates confusion so as they disregard all explanations other than what they learn in spite of evidence that there are other explanations for such phenomena as how the universe began for instance. the evidence doesn't suggest that their belief is delusional, it's that outright rejecting the evidence creates the delusion.
