Hi everybody. I have recently been chatting to a lady who at first glance seemed to be attractive and attentive. Got to know a little about each other. But something told me that her story was not quite true when she said that when she visited my town she stayed in a certain road. This, for a supposedly business woman, was not the place to stay. It is the pits. She was going to Cape Town to sort details of her fathers business out. A few days latwer she needed money as there was trouble with the banks. The name of the Hotel and address in Cape Town together with the phone number were quickly found to be ficticous. The tale was so badly strung together it beggared belief. If that lady had been honest from the beginning I would have given her the money, no problems. I have found 3 names for her on here and they have been deactivated, but be warned, she may strike againfrustrated

I am starting to think all women are scammers!

heres what usually happens,
stat it off by taking a shower and it isn't Saturday night yet, then 15 bucks for gas because she lives in the next town over, $40 bucks for a halfway decent meal & lets not forget another $5 for her to order a piece of pie and ice cream ** When half of her food is still on her plate**, followed by $30 for a movie and bucket of popcorn.

Min of $90 and she gets a free meal.. Then we are lucky if we get a kiss on the cheek,,

ITS A SCAM I TELL YOU!!!

 laugh laugh laugh

yanno, in five years of being on the internet and dating/social sites, I have NEVER had that happen to me

only once, I was on yahoo with a person, and in the middle of the conversation the persons "tone of voice" changed and started asking for money. I realized that my friend had been hacked in the middle of the conversation and immediatley pulled my internet hardwire and shut down my computer and ran virus scan

other than that I've never even heard from any scammers in five years

There is a comedian named Joel Lindley who has a great dvd out about these scammers and how to get them to "dance" for you. He gets them to call him long distance, keeps them on the phone a long time trying to give them the account number where he deposited the money they asked for (fake account #). It's a riot to here these guys being made fools of.

I wanted to get one of those mail order brides!!!

But I can't afford the postage.

And even if I could, She would freeze to death sitting in that package on the front porch till I get home, Or a neighbor would see the package and steal it:wink:

No site online is immune to scammers. As Rose stated, this site works very hard to eliminate scammers/spammers. We can't catch them by ourselves, so when you find scammers, please report them so the site can investigate. We rely on the help of our members too.

To that point, this seems to be a universal thing with women lately on dating sites. And I'm not talking about money-scammers, but real deal women.

Ladies....why lie?

Hi RobKent,

well I'm not personally acquainted with scammers laugh but I do suppose some watch the forums. Some scammers are computerized (like the flood we had) to get them to other sites and web cams that you pay for. The individual scammers, more than likely, do watch the forums from time to time.

But not all members that watch the forums and contact you are scammers. There are members that do watch the forums but don't participate. I have had members contact me about something I said in a thread or they noticed me in the forums. I have yet to be asked for money by any of them. I've actually never had a scammer contact me lol. I'm not scammable I guess lol.

I try to encourage new forum posters to post often to get noticed more because other members do watch the forums at times.

Does this help a bit?
