If you really think long and hard about our ancestors and even farther back with the Egyptians, you would know that the "god" everyone prayed to was the sun. It makes life, if we didn't have it, we wouldn't be here at all, the sun that is. So what are your thoughts about the sun and this man made bible that everyone worships in believing there is some higher power, more poweful than the sun?

I dont know that EVERYONE prayed to the sun or that the only prayers that are relevant are the ones of the Egyptians, but, I believe the sun is created by God as are all living things. All books are man made, but that doesnt follow that they are necessarily untrue. People believe our founding fathers had the countrys interest at heart when writing the man made constitution. Believers generally believe the same about the writers of the bible.

if the sun is the god that gave us life then god has less than five billion years left to live. it will morph into a red giant that will envelope earth's orbit and eventually die as all stars do. of course we'll all be toast long before that process is complete. but still have to wonder about all the stars that existed eight billion years before the sun. are they god's too?

Our "god" has approx 8 billion years left. It is a 15 billion year sun approx, humans will not be around to see the end because the Andromeda and Milkyway will have collided before this. The Andromeda Milkyway collision is predicted to occur in approx 4 billion years.
