Global warming appears to have stalled. Climatologists are puzzled as to why average global temperatures have stopped rising over the last 10 years. Some attribute the trend to a lack of sunspots, while others explain it through ocean currents.
It's hilarious that the "climatologists" have no doubt that Global Warming is real, but they are confused as to why it hasn't been doing anything for the past 10 years. It's quackery. I would buy snake oil before I would buy into this line of bull. |

oh I'm sure it prolly is
it has to be either warming or cooling the one thing the earth is definitely NOT doing is staying the same and since we came out of a ice age not that long ago it might just still be warming the thing to me is not whether it is or not but that we adapt to whatever it is doing there's a LOT ot ancient cities that are under water now |

No, I never believed the global warming thing either.

Well, I've beeb believing it and it's been working out great for me. We've been having mild winters here ever since I started beliving in global warming.
In fact, this particular November has been the warmest November I can ever remember. So don't break my bubble! This is great! Keep them warm days coming! If winter disappears altogether owl be tickled pink. |

It's 'Climate Change' of which 'global warming' is only a part of the total shift in weather consciousness.

It's 'Climate Change' of which 'global warming' is only a part of the total shift in weather consciousness. Right. First it was global cooling. Then it was global warming. Now it's called "Climate change"...it could make the weather hotter or cooler or no change! But it's THERE and we should all be afraid, very afraid! |

Not that long ago I found a National Geographic from 1976 that presented climatological data indicating a impending 'mini-ice' age.
I wonder what happened to that? |

I am no climate scientists, of which I have great respect, its probably the most challenging field of research today.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bb/Instrumental_Temperature_Record.svg But this chart shows an increase in temperatures since the industrial revolution. Its a steeper incline then previous upward trends. There are other peaks in the 1000 years that are also directly related to CO2 emissions, we know this due to Ice Cores and geologic research being able to cross verify with other fields of research. Climate change is real, and we do have an impact, as much as we all would like to think we do not, how much is debatable, but to sit here and pretend to be an authority on it without so much as a single research paper to back it up is really just an effort to see how many people will come out and agree with you all without a shred of information. Green house gas effect is real, its standard science, not even debatable, however the system we are dealing with is anything but standard, its the most complex and massive system/environment our human endeavor to understand (science) has ever tackled. I think its important to show respect to the scientific community and not sit here and deride that research without yourself understanding it. Cite a research paper from a credible source like a publication such as Nature that shows that global temperatures are not rising in direct correlation to CO2 and other green house gasses I will be surprised. I find the posts that acknowledge the trend and prefer warmer climate far more honest, if equally ill informed, then the posts that out and out pretend its not happening because its nice and cool where they live LOL. |

Actually the planet will heat and cool as part of it's natural cycles.
So they cannot be wrong as it is fact. Whether we contribute to it or not is the only valid question. |

The global warming argument is not even a scientific argument. Sorry to inform you it is a political one. Scientists are not arguing this one.

The global warming argument is not even a scientific argument. Sorry to inform you it is a political one. Scientists are not arguing this one. Really??? How can global warming be a political argument? Just because Al Gore started it? Do they present any proof? Is there any other reason the pole is melting? Is all that just MORE LIES? PROPAGANDA? I HATE POLITICS. LIES LIES LIES. |
