Topic: If you believe in something does that make it Real?

I'm not dissing anyone's belief.

So if I imagine dragons to be real they are or will be?
Or unicorns,or if I imagine hard enough I can make the Kennedy or the
Lincoln assassination not happen?

hmmm AB..sounds just like the world we live in...don't see the
difference..I accept it with open arms...those who don't become
Agoraphobic and live in there own frightful reality

Aren't I? Am I not a millionaire?

Probably because I have never imagined my Self to be one...with the
collection of dollars to verify it.

Perhaps not by your definitions Redwine...

This is where I said, "my realities are not yours".

I have manifested so much into my life, with only the seeds of
imagination, and projection, created, until they became tangible
realities.

We differ in our views, yes, and I do not ask you to agree...that is
fine.

I did not want to leave here though, without responding.

Jess..your point is well taken...but obviously My realities are not
yours...that is what makes all people different. Just trying to
distinguish between reality as defined by science and Fantasy...enjoy
your input Jess:smile:

It seems to me that Jess is speaking of our capacity to shape of
realities, through time and actions, using imagination as as tool.

Which is completely different from 'pretending' the unreal is real.

God might be able to shape my reality in seven days. I have not that
power. I must work at it and it may take my lifetime to shape my
reality as I believe.

Ah but the journey is worth the effort.

If you could affect reality though wouldn't you do it with no bumps in
the roads?
You can plan all the plans and dream all the dreams you want but do they
always play out the way you planned them do all dreams come true?
No. I think if you control they would would they not?

Trade..I don't disagree with Jess...you can definitly use positive
thought processes to achieve goals and project positive (as well as
negative) energy to achieve or alter your reality...I just think using
the word "Imagination" is an Oxymoron to "Reality" and that is all I
question:wink:

The bumps will allways be there.

If I was perfect I could see them and adjust for them.

As I am not perfect I must adjust for them as they arise.

It comes as my understanding of the fabric of the canvas that I place my
reality upon increases.

That canvas is a greater reality than mine but I still have my reality
to paint on it.

Searching, I wasn't trying to agree with or disagree with anyone's
opinion (yet! that may come) - I was simply expressing that your
disagreement appeared semantic to me. But you were already there.

Speaking of reality...I have to get up in 5 hours..(or maybe I'm just
imagining it..lol ) ...I enjoy all points of view and consider you all
friends...Have a good nite all

I hope I'm not sounding like i'm beingjust plain argumentative. If I am
sorry not trying to be. Just asking questions.

Now next question.

If belief makes reality, wouldn't we make life or believe life is
perfect and if we do shouldn't it be if that is our belief.
And if it isn't would that not mean that belief does not make reality?

***************************************************

I have found in my wanderings...that I can create my realities...and yes
at times there are bumps in the road...

but with that wonderful thing called hindsight...'everything was exactly
as it was supposed to be'..

What I learnt, what I earnt from the 'bumps', the challenges, along the
way, allowed me growth, both within imagining, and implimenting
solutions, and also creating, clearer paths for future experiences.

To create, imagine, only smooth roads, is to live a sheltered and narrow
reality for me.

Not saying for all...I am just sharing a piece of me, and how I view my
reality...it is within the 'bumps' that my realities become clearer.

And manifesting solutions, from within my imaginings, create experience.

Hanged,
I dislike making long posts, and have spent some time failing to think
of response (that is both adequate and concise) to your questions.

I cannot speak for others, especially not people born into abusive
households, or born into poverty, or living in war zones... but in my
life I have seen an immense capacity to create exactly what I want. And
essential part of the process is being truly honest with yourself about
what you really want. I have lived a life free of bumps, for periods of
time, and found it boring and stagnating.

Hanged, I do not believe that I could become a millionaire within the
next 5 minutes. We all have an immense, mostly not realized ability to
create our future realities, but there are still limits.

If you completely believe life is perfect it will be.

No one I have ever met can keep such a strong belief alive in the
presence of the 'bumps' you mentioned from that greater reality we paint
our own upon.

I am not sure if I want a 'perfect' reality. I would have nothing to
learn.

Perhaps I could even walk on water.

You and Jess maybe right, Massage. About the Shallow and narrow and the
stagnation.
I will admit I ahve an extermely strong drive/urge(maybe there's a
better word for it)to have everything be perfect. It eats at me that I
cannot do it. I think it's my own personal cancer.
It's extermly frustrating to see things not go as they should.
