respect and love together are a must!!!!!! ive learned this from experience if you dont have one or the other it usually ends in disaster.. so save yourself the trouble learn to love and respect

I think , because of the many types of love,, that you can still love (care and want the best for) someone , even if you have lost respect for them. But I dont think you can feel love initially unless there is respect.

if it doesn't go hand in hand, it's a 90% chance that it's lack of communication on purpose to trump the other.
