I spoke with a dear friend today on the phone who told me that I need to get a life.... she is a long time friend, it wasn't said mean. She loves me...i think she still does, friends since high school. I'm alive, I work, I have children.... What does that mean??? |

It means that is all you do is work, take care of your kids and go home that you do not get out and do things that does not involve those things....... 
My kids tell me the same thing

OP I have had this said to me several times in the past year. I finally realized it was due to working 60-80 hours of week, the little free time I had was taken up with my dog, household chores etc...
I am finding out what getting a life is like lately. Try it, it is fun. Do something just for you once a week... |

What I do other than basic life-Job-home-family
Volunteer at church, about 8 hrs a month. Kayaking in spring/summer Geocaching in spring/summer Snowshoeing in winter. Take music lessons-Middle eastern percussion Read books-fiction and non fiction Other fun when available Live music |
