Waz~up?My fellow hockey~heads;=)K;First of all if you've seen my profile
then you know I'm a life long die~hard Boston Bruins fan.K;we're in the
re-building process so 1 day we'll return to that great elite staus &
lift the Holy Grail aka the beloved Lord Stanley Cup.So meanwhile what
we have here, now that stage has been set is 2 teams battleing for there
very lives.Anaheim Ducks(representing U.S.)vs.Ottawa
Senators(representing Canada). The series is locked at 2 games to 1 with
the Ducks up.However the Sens.really showed the Ducks what there really
made of after being down 2-0 in the series.I have a tremendous amout of
respect for Ottawa Sens. They have great deal of depth & a fantastic
array of players that are highly skilled & talented on all facets.Well
they stormed the Ducks in game 3 & completely dominated them with
relentless pressure. Now fast forward to the 3rd period & Ottawa is
applying pressure all over the Ducks.Well the puck was dupmed in around
the dasher,& of course Ottawa's McAmmond is going to move towards it
quickly to set up something sweet for an out-front man in the waiting. So
Chris Pronger intentionally deleivers an elbow to his head knocking him
out cold.Massive CHEAP SHOT!!He's been suspended for 1 game.Hell;He
should be dumped for the remaining balance of the series,& also hit Xtra
hard in his wallet. The NHL better start doing much better enforcement
towards these type of Cheap Shots!.They have no place in this modern
day/more civilized society that we currently live in.So many great &
highly talented players have had there careers abruptly ended because of
these types of antics on the ice. Hockey is such a fantastic sport with
such a rich & glorious history,so it should not be marred by clowns such
as C.Pronger & any other bully~enforcer's on the ice. They are an eyesore
to the entire NHL.At the least give this offense a 3 strike policy &
your banned straight out of the NHL for life.ZERO tolerance for these
type of infractions.Of course I'm cheering for the Ducks(not my first
selection to represent)only for the remaining fact that there
representing my beloved country the U.S.A.But I want this glorious
trophy won honorably.Period! Also C.Pronger aka Punk placed a
vicious~dirty hit likewise on Thomas Holdstrum of the Detroit Red Wings
& likewise was suspended for 1 game. Please! What's with the lil slap on
the wrist(lmao)Ban him!K;just my opinion.ttyl/Godspeed!Cybear aka
Steve(((bear~hug)))

Well i dont think it was a cheap shot.

I mean come on, when the playing is happening and your on the ice, it is
a different story. Looked like a reaction play to me.

Pronger is a classy guy who is never out to try to hurt another player.
He is 6 foot 6 and one of the bigger defence men in the league so he
goes up against teams shorter forwards. Mccammond is only 5 foot 10 so
you can see the height difference.

Did you see the hit Neil laid on i believe McDonald....Way worse
IMO...Neil took like 6 steps and charged him. Neil predetermined his
hit. Pronger's hit was not.

That is my two cents.

I have to agree with Pucks, when you're out there the first rule is
KEEP YOU HEAD UP. Pronger isn't dirty (he's an SOB but that's another
thread) and his play has remained tough and steady over the last 8
years. If you ask a hindred NHLers who the top 5 dirtiest players are
I'm willing to bet Pronger doesn't get named more than once or twice;
Tootoo from Nashville is a hell of a lot worse and guys like Marchment
(is he still in the NHL?) deliberately went after knees.

Good Morn.guys{Pucks & derfw3}Pleased to meet you both.Very kewl I
finally have a couple guys @JSH that I can talk Hockey with.Bearific;=)

1)Mr.Pucks.I am fully away of the height diff.& I'm fully aware of
Mr.Pronger.I've been a Hockey fanatic since I was 4 yrs.old.I replayed
the questionable hit over several times through my "ice on the
fly"source. The staff had questioned whether it was a reactionary hit or
not. What I saw was his reaction was "oh!crap"because McCammond is a lil
speedy devil.Sort of reminds me of C.Draper from Detroit.Speedy & a
dangerous playmaker.;=)So he caught Pronger flat-footed & facing the
opposing direction.Pronger was screwed & beaten & he he knew it
instantly.I believe that is why the elbow came up instantly."any port in
the storm perhaps"McCammond would of had a multitude of choices now with
Pronger clearly beaten & out of the equation.I did see the Neil hit he
had lined up for McDonanld.I do not justify or condone his actions
either,believe me.And if he had been hurt,same suspension &
fine(big)That's why I mentioned any other bully~enforcers currently in
the NHL also.Come on Pucks;"classy guy?"what about when his skates left
the ice to get the highest hit possible on Thomas Holstrum in the
Detroit series. That hit required 14 stiches to close his forehead. Was
this a classy hit or play????Just wondering.Hey but pleased to meet ya
bro,& I look forward to talking more to ya.Godspeed!Cybear aka
Steve((bear-hug))

I'm equally pleased to meet you derfw3.I know what you're saying about
the heads up approach. But there should not be headhunters out there
either looking to pulverize players.I don't get why this entire syle of
play is not removed entirely. That's why I brought up the 3 strike
proposal. We don't want young outstanding quality players to have there
careers ended prematurely because of a neanderthal hit.Come on!Of course
I'm aware of Prongers assets & what he brings to the club. He's extremely
passionate, but just a tad of restrain might servre well to preserve the
integrity within the sport and to prevent devestating injuries or career
ending ones. What is your opinion about a 3 strike proposal on these type
of infractions that have been clearly reviewed?I'm pleased to meet you
bro.Take care.ttyl/Godspeed!Cybear aka Steve:tongue:

Well, I'm a Blues fan so having gotten to watch Pronger for a long
time I can say he's played the same way his whole career, you might not
like it but he's not a guy who uses his stick in dangerous ways and he's
certainly not a guy who goes after the knees of other players. As for
that hit the only thing I can say is that it's something that happens a
lot (and I've been guilty of it too, though not to the head); that is
giving a guy a shot as he goes by you.

As for what Pucks said, Pronger IS a classy guy. I've gotten to meet
him a couple of times and he's polite and well spoken (about like most
hockey players; who, I'm convinced, are the nicest in pro sports) he was
even trying to win fans over the day after he was traded to St. Louis
(for fan favorite Brendan Shanahan) when he was facing a pretty hostile
crowd at the mini press conference (with fans in attendence). I wish he
was still in St. Louis and I like him as a player but I hope the Sens
come back; I don't think I can stomach another ex-Blue winning the Cup
after leaving.
