Very creative film. Left unsure what to believe as the credits only give one set of actors names and no names for those in the 'real' footage. The producers pulled off quite a stunt with this if it is all fiction. In any case, the film was a bit slow but had some scenes that were a bit spooky. The shrink was kind of boring, but I guess that was because she told the story after the fact and had been through such awful things. The acting was ok, the details were interesting. I give it a seven on a one to ten scale. An eight if it was really true.

Was it better than Paranormal Activity??

Was it better than Paranormal Activity??

I thought so,,,it had a little more of a production feel than the home movie angle that PA used. This one had the home movie side by side with actor re enactments and many more characters to follow.

yea, I was hoping that you have seen it, to see if we kinda had the same taste in movies..lol
The movie was extremly hyped up, couldn't wait to see it.
It was horrible, IMO. Not really creepy, but very sci-fi.

Yeah, 4th kind wasnt exactly creepy. It was like watching one of those documentaries on the discovery channel about alien abductions..lol. but with well known actors re enacting some of the incidents and possible real footage included in the film.

I haven't been to the movies in a while. Just popping in to get the 411. Thanks. The way you are talking about the "real" footage kind of reminds me of how people talked about the Blair Witch Project when it came out.

True except Blair witch were unknowns. This movie has well known actors portraying events ALONG SIDE footage of unknown persons who may or may not be real. There is no mention of actors in the credits and there are sites which give information on the people being portrayed (although there is question as to whether the movie company has planted them on the internet). ITs a bit of a bigger production than Blair and the actress gives a very convincing introduction about how her character is based on real events and the film has actual footage....could just be her script or she could mean it,,,one never knows..

This flick was destroyed by critics..... too much split screen and directorial confusion.
