spelling and proper English (if that be the language) are almost as important as the write itself. Quite frankly if the Author can't take the time to present their work in the best possible light, then why should I take the time to read it...Just a personal opinion. It really doesn't take that much of an effort to "tighten" a piece up. Proof reading not only makes the piece better, but also can help substain and enhance the vocabulary.....

Many of the younger writers in todays world are very lazy when it comes to expanding their vocabulary and use the "push button" techniques available to them, rather than studying the words themselves. Yes I went to school, but I was a problem child, school held no interest for me, growing up in an alcoholic environment caused me to find refuge within books at a very early age and when I came across a word I didn't understand (which were many) I looked it up. So basically I am self taught in the literary field, so if I can do it with the brain capacity of a split pea, then surely anyone can:)

I find it hard to get the gist from any writes, when they aren't presented well...One spelling mistake can spoil a damn good write...
