A faggot is is made from meat off-cuts and offal, especially pork.Traditionally made from pig's heart, liver and fatty belly meat or bacon minced together, with herbs added for flavouring and sometimes breadcrumbs. The mixture is shaped in the hand into balls, wrapped round with caul fat (the omentum membrane from the pig's abdomen), and baked. I think the recipe is now modified, although it sounds disgusting they are indeed delicious served with onion gravy. I thought I had learned years ago that a faggot was a cigarette... was I misinformed? |

Well a fag is indeed a cigarette. A faggot is something akin to a meatball, with lots of onions added, it may well have been made of all of those strange ingredients, but that was when such ingredients were freely available, today it is more like ground beef with onions and spices. A faggot is also a bundle of thin twigs all wrapped together. When my little sister was a child she was called faggot by my father, now she is much older and still called faggot by her siblings, she really is. Her real name is Julie and she is a really nice lady. People really do eat the strangest things don't they.

I really could murder a fag right now.
British people do post here, but in this particular UK forum, there is not much going on. Most people here are yanks, and this forum will not show up to anyone that says they live in any other country. If i make a thread i want everyone to see it, not just a few. If i wanted to be around mainly British people id find a British site. |

Keeping Up Apperances was filmed in the town where I live. It was quite funny to see Hyacinth sitting around between takes in her dressing gown and slippers. I am very thankful to have met each and everyone of you!..Hope you all enjoy your day! |

Happy Thanksgiving to you to Linda. I've never wished anyone happy Thanks giving before (that makes you really special) as we don't celebrate it over here.
Have I read your question correctly, do you want to know what a biscuit is? x |
I didn't know you didn't celebrate it there. Thank you Jitsu!!..
Yes, I do..I see it on Keeping up Apperances all the time..Hyacinth is serving them all the time. |
Oh I see. So are you wondering why she serves them up so often? Lol x
Everytime she has her neighbor come over she offers her biscuits. They look like some kind of cookie to me. Is that what it is is just a cookie?
Normally yeah, just a cookie, but this is Hyacinth Bucket we're talking about lol. For her it's just another way for her to show how much better she is than everyone else.
Giving someone tea and biscuits provides her with an opportunity to show of her fine tea, posh cup and saucer and of course - her expensive biscuits. Her style of serving tea is a bit dated and really only followed these days by those who are, or think they are, upperclass - so Hyacinth in a nut shell. Make a bit more sense now? x |
