I came here to try out dating again, and well let's say it has just gone all to he*&. i can't seem to find anone near that will even at least talk to me; yes i would like to date again (it's been over 4 years since i was last with a woman), but it seems like everytime i open up i only succeed in getting dejected, rejected, and hurt. All i am looking for is someone to talk to maybe go on a few dates, as friends and see where it goes from there, might be more, might not.

And it also seems like everytime i am making some progress some other guy walks in and runs off with any women i talk to. Sometimes they're good guys other times they are not (most of the time being not)

I don't know if it's the state i live in, a bunch of sex craised guys looking for their next conquest, or if it's just me. But i could really use some help and advice.

I've never lived in Florida, so I don't know. Maybe the women you talk to don't really know what they want? At any rate, I hope you find what you want.

Broaden the places that you go to meet people.

I would like to broaden the areas i go to but i am working on my degree, and i can't really do that right now (not in budget).

And as for lower standards, that would be a no.

As far as the 'online thing' goes, I have a co-worker that won't date local guys from online. She feels the distance adds excitement to the whole process.

Go figure.
