Tests and trials are false situations that produce fake results. If
both of you are straight with each other from the beginning and don't
play those little games, you'll know exactly what you're getting into,
and won't be shocked later when you find out you're dating someone
completely different than who you thought. All these games do is make
people try to act a certain way to fall into a "likable" image. Just be
who you are, keep it real, and you'll know for sure if you're where you
want to be.

if i give my number out during an evening, i expect a call the next
day...unless there was a pretty good connection...

for god's sake..if you ask for a number, the least you can do is be
honest with yourself and call it when ya WANT to call it..

how is that being seen as 'desperate' or 'clingy'?? that's showing
interest, and who doesn't like to be shown that???

Why play games? " I'm not calling her / him first" 'tis nonsense, if
you like someone call them for God's sake......................Do not

The thing is, do we give out our number to just anyone? No, so if there
is a connection...we are hoping that they don't play games and wait
around to call. I would think if he didn't call me the next day, I
didn't make a very good impression on him. Just pick up the phone and
call if you liked that person!! There shouldn't be any set number of
days to wait, if you call the next day...I am not going to think you are
desperate, I might think that you want to talk to me!! Who knows, maybe
you might just hit it off??

back when I was hitting chicks up for their number, I,d alway attach
something with it, like seeing a movie, getting a bite to eat, etc. So
I,d usually call in a couple of days just to check in with her and be
polite.

I liked it when I gave my number ...then later that night, while I was
still out with the girls, he called (like 10:30 on a weekend) and said,
"just checking to see that you didn't give me a wrong number", we
laughed and he asked if he could call the next day about around 3pm...so
it was like a fun little way to "schedule" the first call...it was
impresive ... and worked.

Assuming it's a cell phone, don't ask for the number, tell her your
number and say call me now so I can store it. That way you won't get a
number for Pizza Hut. I'm usually pretty busy so it takes me a week to
get back to anybody.
