what is the difference between a man and a boy
well a boy will see a rose, and because its beautiful he would pick it, shove it in his pocket, and show it to all his friends, smell it and when it looses its beauty, he would toss it asidie for another more beautiful flower.

a man will leave the flower, let it flourish feed it, love it and accept it as it is, and enjoy it rather than want to pass it, and when it is no more. grieve for the love and enjoyment he can no longer share. as he too will wither and die. but with the peace of knowing of the love he once enjoyed, as i woke up and i pause and noticed before i entered i have accomplished alot even with no man in my life.

One must smell the rose first before declaring it beautiful

Lovely sentiments and as spot on as any analogy......but there are many differences between boy/man, girl woman, and one of the most important is the realization that life can be lived and enjoyed with or without another to make you complete, for if it takes another to complete you, then you yourself are admitting that you aren't whole......still though, every rose should have a stem....:)

much enjoyed

Queene i truely must insist that you read and follow the rules?
you carnt keep deluding minglers with copy-write,d poems, its not fair you takeing the credit for others work?
if you must insist,do as the rules state and annonce whos and how much you like it.
its a classic even with a strange ending..

^with all due respect, if you were on the site that I moderate your account would have been terminated, the worst infraction anyone on a literary site can make is stealing anothers work, whether it be one line, one stanza or one paragraph. Many who write have had their words stolen and it's not a good feeling and one can actually be prosecuted for such, so he really wasn't that rude, I wouldn't have been as nice.

if it was sent to you then someone esle had to write it...correct...here's an important thing to remember, everything written is really covered under the copywrite laws automatically....I deal with this every week on our site and it takes countless hours of research most of the time. Just don't use anyone else's stuff and you'll be fine
