in years passed, society has demanded, from young, growing boys, that they not fight, get dirty, seek adventure, and in every sense taken away from them what ultimately teaches a young boy how to be a man. what young man do you know, when asked, wants to be a tame, bored, man when he grows up? it is in every mans heart to seek adventure, beat the bad guys, and rescue the beautiful damsel in distress. i see so many men these days that are genuinely concerned with how they look! highlighted hair, waxed eyebrows, and even carrying murses! who raised these boys? who taught them how to be women!? it drives me crazy to see what was intended to be the driving force in every male, in their heart, to be taken away and then told that it is wrong and that they should be more sensitive. if you remember adam was made outside the garden of eden, in the wild, in the image of god. eve was made inside the garden surrounded by beauty. it was intended for males to seek danger, adventure, and that is what defines a man, when he finds his heart. i get tired of reading "where have all the men gone?"

I've raised 2 sons, 17 and 24, who got dirty, had fights and the older moved across the country to CA so according to your post, i guess I'm raising "real" men! Thanks!!! I also hope I have raised them to be sensitive and caring and not prejudge people. I think there can be a happy medium!!

Well think of it. As boys we are brought up by our mothers and grandmothers. (Nothing wrong with this. Sometims it is better this way.)
The teachers in our schools are mostly women. More then half the dads out there are dead beat dads. They are not around to teach the boys what it takes to be a man ??????? So no wonder why !!!!!!!!! So men teach your boys to be men !!!!! That is if you are a man your self ??? |

Hmm let people be how they want to be I say.... My family the guys care about their looks a lot but they're still what you would classify as "manly men". They play rugby..do jui jitsu.. work construction..love to play/watch sports in general... So basically Im saying don't judge a book by it's cover...

I think Jimmy had in mind what I do. There's so many deadbeat dads out there nowadays with single mothers raising these men to be. I think a father figure needs to be there to raise a boy. No disrespect to any mother or any woman, but there's certain things left best for a 'father figure' to deal with. There's things that a woman just doesn't understand. Sorta like a single dad would be like with a girl when it's time for a bra or 'that first time of the month'. I know I'd be lost!!!!
